This is an adventure tour into the true wilderness. Breahtaking nature with desert elephants and traditional Himba tribes. A mountainous area with the famous van Zyls Pass, wide valleys and dry river beds, where wild game roams about. The Epupa Waterfalls created by the Cunene River on the border of Angola and Namibia are little paradise.

Today will be exciting and demanding. Through a small dry river we go into the impressive Khowarib Gorge. It’s important to keep a distance from one another as it can get very dusty. Through the plain of the dry Marienfluss we get to the Kunene border river again. The Marienfluss offers an impressive solid sandy stage in contrast to yesterday’s stony mountain stage. Unfortunately, bathing in this river is not popular due to crocodiles. In the afternoon we leave the Kunene River and spend the night somewhere in the wild Kaokoland.
Accommodation: Camping. Breakfast and dinner.

A varied stage with water crossings through the river bed. Then a Mars-like plain to the Hoanib River. Here we have to be on the look out for elephants.
